Amit Shah inaugurates CREDAI Garden-People’s Park in Ahmedabad

 
On the auspicious occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, inaugurated various development works and performed Bhoomipujan in Ahmedabad. Among the inaugurated projects was the CREDAI Garden-People’s Park, a beautiful park constructed by CREDAI with the aim of providing a comfortable and environmentally friendly space for people from all walks of life.

Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the CREDAI Garden-People’s Park, a sprawling park spread over 12,000 square meters. The park was constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 2.5 crore. In his address, Shri Shah emphasized that the park was designed to cater to the needs of the middle class, upper middle class, and underprivileged children. He lauded CREDAI for creating a beautiful and accessible space that would enhance the urban landscape while providing a comfortable retreat for the common citizen.
II. Focus on Indian Culture and Yoga Day:
 
Shri Amit Shah highlighted the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in promoting Indian culture, tradition, and heritage globally. He specifically mentioned Yoga Day, which has evolved from a global platform to a mass movement under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Shri Shah noted that Yoga Day programs are now organized in 170 countries, showcasing Indian culture to every corner of the world. He also commended Prime Minister Modi for being the first world leader to celebrate Yoga Day at the United Nations.

India lifted the Intercontinental Cup as it tamed a young Lebanon side by two second-half goals at the Kalinga Stadium. India beat Lebanon 2-0 in the Intercontinental Cup final at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar to win the title. Sunil Chhetri’s 46th minute goal broke the deadlock before Lallianzuala Chhangte made it 2-0 in the 66th minute as India beat Lebanon for the first time since 1977.
 
India made a strong start to the match, dominating 57% possession in the first half. It was in the first minute of second half that the deadlock was broken, with Lallianzuala Chhangte providing an assist for Sunil Chhetri. Chhangte turned scorer in the 66th minute as India increased their lead. This was also the Indian team’s sixth consecutive clean sheet, equalling a record dating back to 1952. This is India’s first win over Lebanon since 1977.

NTPC Kanti Launches Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2023 for 40 Underprivileged Girls

The Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2023, a four-week residential workshop programme designed to develop 40 poor rural girls from the Kanti block, was started by NTPC Kanti as part of its CSR initiative. This programme, run by NTPC Kanti for the first time, aims to give participants academic instruction, skill development, and overall personality growth.

 

The GEM program was inaugurated by DSGSS Babji, Regional Executive Director, East – I NTPC Ltd, and K.M.K Prusty, Head of Project, NTPC Kanti. The workshop aims to prepare the girl students to become well-rounded individuals, instilling curiosity and developing better communication and social skills.

 

Selection and Participants:

Eight students have been selected from five schools in the Kanti Block to participate in the GEM-2023 program. These girls come from underprivileged backgrounds, and the workshop offers them an opportunity to enhance their educational and life skills.
